Parks Climate Challenge 2012
Thanks to funding from the National Park Foundation, WSF is able to partner on the Parks Climate Challenge for the second year in a row with the Mississippi River Fund, Ft. Snelling State Park and the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area. 12 metro area educators that attended out Summer Institute for Climate Change Education learned about the impacts of climate change on the River and are bringing their students on a field trip to Ft. Snelling State Park during the 2012-2013 school year. Students are doing activities along the river and engaging in a service project.
As part of this project a weather station was erected at Ft. Snelling. Students are able to visit the station while on their field trip, but also check in on it throughout the year. Check out the weather at Ft. Snelling State Park right now.
