Grass in our community may begin to weaken and die for a number of reasons: pest damage, excessive or insufficient sun exposure, water, and/or fertilizer.
I made a general observation of a certain areas in my community where too much or not enough sun exposure is affecting those areas. I also observed the park in St. Anthony, there was not enough sun light exposure and I noticed the grass was turning brown. (The reason for the discoloring of the grass is the lack of sun light in that specific area.)
The sun gives off radiation that carries healthy nutrients to plants. The leaves on the plants absorb the nutrients and turn them into energy; the plants use this energy to grow. By not having the sun light the grass will not grow healthy and die.
